Towards Northern Isan

Travel to places in central and northeastern region and find out how Thai kingdom was crafted historically, culturally and geographically. A trip that will take you to varied places from a pre-historic site to a natural wonder of Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park.

Day 1 - Bangkok - Ayuthaya - Phetchabun (Lunch, Dinner)

Pick up from the airport or a hotel in Bangkok by air-conditioned vehicle to visit the ruined temples in its beautiful city. Afterward, board on a long tailed boat to visit the Summer Palace of Bang Pa In - a collection of palace buildings in a wide variety of architectural styles.

In the afternoon, continue to Srithep Historical Park. The sculpture and architecture, influenced by Dvaravati and Khmer arts, dated back to the 1st century. The community was situated on a route, which connected the Korat Plateau and the Chao Phraya Basin plain.  Afterwards, proceed to Kosit Thani hotel, Phetchabun City, for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Phetchabun - Loei (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Depart from the hotel for Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. See the area of a large stone platform called 'Lan Hin Taek' and 'Lan Hin Pum' - sport shoes are advised since there will be a long walk up and down small hills. Lunch in a farm.

After lunch, stop by Phra Tat Si Song Rak, a Thai-Lao 16th century temple, and Wat Pa Neramitr Viphassana, a large pink granite temple. Overnight and dinner at Phu Pha Nam Resort.

Day 3 - Loei - Nong Bua Lam Phu - Udon Thani (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After checking out from the hotel, proceed to Erawan Cave in Nong Bua Lam Phu Province. Lunch in Udon Thani Province
In the afternoon, visit Ban Chiang Archaeological site and drop by Ban Nong Kha and Ban Men to shop for local silk products.

Day 4 - Udon Thani - Nong Khai - Udon Thani (Breakfast, Lunch)

Visit Udon Saeng Tawan, an orchid garden, to see flower dancing show and vanda hybrid, the first type of orchid whose fragrance is made into a perfume. Continue to Phu Pra Bat Historical Park to see the beautiful landscape of 1,200 acre park, pre-historic paintings and other natural wonders. Lunch in Nong Khai Province.

After lunch, visit the Indo-China market at Tha Sadet and continue to Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge.
