Krabi Area Bird Watching Tour

A forested mountain park of 150sq km, Khao Nor Chuchi national park supports the most diverse remaining lowland bird fauna of any site so far known in Peninsular Thailand, with over 230 species of resident and migrant birds. Species includes a great many lowland specialists and other species which are scarce elsewhere: Wallace's Hawk-Eagle, Crested Wood-Partridge, Crested Fireback, Little Green Pigeon, Jambu Fruit-Dove, Diard's Trogon, Black Hornbill, Red-crowned Barbet, Ferruginous Babbler, Rufous-crowned Babbler, Striped Wren-Babbler, Large Wren-Babbler, Chestnut-rumped babbler, Black-throated Babbler. This national park is the only site known to support a potentially viable population of Gurney's Pitta, with 12-15 probable territories so far located. Giant, and Banded Pitta are also present.
