Mae Klong Delta Ride

Seventy kilometers Southwest of Bangkok, the Mae Klong River spreads into a sprawling delta before reaching the Gulf of Thailand. This low-lying land is extremely fertile and over hundreds of years the Thai people have constructed an extensive network of canals to aid irrigation and navigation.

Note : Minimum 2 persons.

Day One - Bangkok - Samut Songkram (Lunch, Dinner)

06:30-08:00  Pick up from hotels and drive to Samut Songkram.

08:00-10:00  Visit the floating Market at Damnoen Saduak.

10:00-12:00  Morning ride on back roads, which will be a mixture of tarmac and jeep trails, visit a 120 year old church. (17 kilometres).

12:00-13:00  Lunch on the river at local Thai restaurant.

13:00-15:00  Ride to Ban Chomduen. A ride of about 15 km on back roads and jeep trails. Ban Chomdoeun is a charming residence full of character on the banks of the Mae Klong River.

15:00-17:30  Time to relax and enjoy the magnificent surroundings.

17:30-19:30 Dinner cruise down the Mae Klong River and watch the sun go down   whilst enjoying some great Thai food. See the fireflies illuminating the Lampoo trees.

Overnight at Ban Chomdoeun or similar.

Day 2 - Samut Songkram - Bangkok (Breakfast, Lunch)

05:00-06:15  Rise early and transfer to a temple to watch monks receiving alms at Koke Gate Temple - Optional.

06:15-08:00  Ride back to Ban Chomduen for breakfast (10 kilometres).

08:00-11:00  Another 20 kilometre ride to visit local temples and other interesting sites such as the Rama II park. Return to the resort to freshen up before lunch.

11:00-12:30  Time to freshen up and pack, and transfer to lunch.

12:30-14:30  Lunch at a local restaurant on the Mae Klong Delta. Walk around and see the Delta after lunch. After lunch, return to Bangkok by minivan.
