Lisu Lodge Experience

Visit hilltribe villages and explore Chiang Mai's mountainous terrain by biking, elephant riding, and rafting with overnight at Lisu Lodge.

Day 1 - Chiang Mai - Lisu Lodge (Lunch, Dinner)

Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai and drive to Hill-tribe Museum (closed on Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday) to learn about different groups of minorities. Then proceed to Orchid Farm in Mae Rim to appreciate a beautiful orchid farm and visit Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, the largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia. After that, depart for Lisu Lodge.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch on Lisu Lodge's terrace. Then experience an ox-cart ride through the orchards and farmland to the Thai village of Pang Mai Daeng and start "Lisu Lodge experience" from Ton Lung temple guided by Lisu people to visit the herbal garden, followed by a visit to Lisu families. Stop for a cup of tea at the shaman's house where you will learn about traditional medicine.

Return to Lisu Lodge to enjoy Lisu hill tribe activities such as embroidering and organic garden. Dinner and overnight at the Lisu Lodge.

Day 2 - Lisu Lodge - Chiang Mai (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast at the lodge, start with 13 km. cycling to the Mae Taman Elephant Camp. Upon arrival, enjoy a one-hour elephant ride through the beautiful mountain scenery.

Picnic lunch by the riverbank and then experience the excitement of white water rafting on an inflatable raft downstream. Continue with a visit of Akha village before the return to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
