Khum Lanna Experience

Located 100 kilometers north of Chiang Mai, Khum Lanna consists of a lovely vegetable garden and a traditional northern Thai house overlooking a large rice field and an orchard, a charming way of life of local Thai northerners. Tour the rural area of Chiang Mai, including a visit to the hill tribe village.

Day 1 - Chiang Mai - Khum Lanna (Lunch, Dinner)

Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and drive to the Hill tribe Museum (closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday) located in the outskirts of the city to learn about the minorities' way of life. Then proceed to visit the orchid farm and Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden.

Afterwards continue to Mae Ngad Dam and embark on a long tail boat for lunch at Raft Restaurant. Travel along the river by boat for 50 minutes to Ban Huay Sai and drive to visit Lisu Village. After visit, transfer for dinner at the beautiful teak house of Khum Lanna.

Day 2 - Khum Lanna - Chiang Mai (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast on the terrace where you can watch a vast rice field and beautiful mountain, start biking to visit Wat Tham Dork Kum where a huge reclining Buddha image is situated. Then continue biking around the beautiful rural country for agro-cultural tour with different farming such as rice, corn, chili, soybean and seasonal vegetables.

Afterwards return to Khum Lanna for lunch.

In the afternoon, time to experience your choice of activities around the farm; learn and try your hand with fruit and vegetable carving or take a short Thai cooking lesson. Also time to have fun with the buffaloes down by the river before transfer to the hotel in Chiang Mai or the Chiang Mai Airport.
