Jungle Realms![]() Day 1 - Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Erawan National Park (Lunch, Dinner)
The Wild Watch field ecologist picks you up from your hotel in Bangkok at 5 am. After a short drive, we start our journey into the wilderness areas of Erawan National Park, with our team of porters carrying equipment and belongings, leaving you free to experience the wonders of the tropical forest. Along the way, you are likely to see numerous exotic birds, and sign of elephant, pig, deer and other large mammals. After a delicious lunch prepared by our field cook and served under our giant mosquito net, you will spend the afternoon with the field ecologist examining the fauna & flora of the area, before ending up at the mobile-tented camp where cold drinks and a hot shower await you. Overnight: deluxe tented camp. Day 2 - Erawan National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)Get up in the morning. After a fresh cup of coffee or tea, the field ecologist will take you on a birding walk before a hearty breakfast in our dining tent. Our morning walk will focus on animal sign in the forest, with the field ecologist showing you how to identify and track some of the areas allusive animals.After a long relaxing lunch, you will further explore some of the most remote areas of Erawan National Park, and the field ecologist will explain to you the ways in which the park's animals interact with their physical surroundings. Back to the base camp for a hot shower and another mouth-watering Thai meal. Then, an optional night walk, when the field ecologist takes you to explore the nocturnal life of the forest. Overnight: deluxe tented camp.
