Bang Saen

Approximately 13 km from the city of Chonburi, Bang Saen is a famous beach that has enjoyed lasting popularity among local tourists and short trip-makers. What makes Bang Saen beachfront a recognizable landmark is its wide stretching sand beach, rows of coconut trees, lines of deck chairs for rent and stacks of rubber rings that local tourists use as floatable rings in the sea. Bang Saen has been through renovation and now enjoys hosting visitors with neat and orderly location.

Chonburi

Besides Phuket, Chonburi is the most well known seaside destination in Thailand for both among Thais and foreign visitors. This is mainly because of its famous beach town of Pattaya. Located only 81 kilometers or around one-a-half hour drive from Bangkok, ones could easily have a weekend respite in no rush.

Chanthaburi

Chantaburi may be better known as the city of fruits than a beach destination but that does not mean the city's attractions are less appealing than any other place in Thailand. Blessed with fertile land, this coastal city does not only have tranquil sandy beaches for weekend beachgoers but also verdant national parks that will definitely please adventurers.

Koh Chang

Koh Chang is the largest island in the gulf of Thailand and the second largest one in the country after Phuket. Visitors mostly travel for five and a half hours by road and take a 45 minute boat ride to the island. Nowadays, Bangkok Airways offers a 45 minute flight from the capital to Trat.

Koh Kood

The interior of Koh Kood is very wild and jungle-like with scores of coconut and rubber tree plantations located in the plains.

Koh Samed

This idyllic island is part of the Khao Laem Ya National park, 200km south-east of Bangkok. It is the setting that inspired the classical Thai poet, Sunthorn Phu, to write his most famous Thai literature "Phra Apaimanee". Travellers will notice on Sai Kaew beach the decaying statues of Phra Arpaimanee and a mermaid which are the two main characters of the story.

Koh Si Chang

Located some 100 hundreds kilometre east of Bangkok, Koh Si chang is the most well known and biggest island in Chonburi Province. The island has been in a tourist map since the early 20th century. Covering an area of 18 square kilometers, it is surrounded by small islets; namely Koh Kham Yai, Koh Kham Noi, Koh Prong, Koh Ran Dokmai, Koh Sampan Yeu, Koh Kang Kao, Koh Yai Tao, and Koh Tai Ta Meun.

Pattaya

Roughly 150 kilometres southeast of Bangkok, Pattaya has everything to offer to holiday makers; tranquil beaches, lavish resorts, luscious seafood, a gamut of sporting, offbeat museums on top of the fine beaches and lively notorious nightlife. This is the place where you can fill your day with endless activities.

Rayong

Located approximately 220 kilometres from Bangkok, Rayong is another delightful resort on Thailand's eastern coast. The province is well known for its pristine beaches stretching along a 100-kilometer coastline.

Trat

The sleepy south-eastern province of Trat shares its eastern border with Cambodia and is a major centre for gem traders. For visitors, however, the provincial capital is of little interest beyond being a ferry point to Koh Chang and other islands along the coast.
