Thailand Guides - CommunicationTelephoneAll telephone numbers in Bangkok have 7 digits while local phone numbers in the rest of the country have 6 digits. The first two or three digits in front of the phone number are either provincial or mobile phone codes. * To call a landline in Bangkok, (02) must be pressed before the 7-digit numbers i.e. 02 694-1222. Public telephones accept 1, 5 and 10-baht coins. There are also 108 Pin Phone Cards that give access for both local and international calls from any telephone, even in the hotels. The prices of the card are 100, 300 and 500 baht, available at Seven Eleven and any major convenient stores throughout Thailand. For international roamers who want to use your own mobile phone in Thailand, please check with your service provider if they have the network here.
